Two people, including a security guard, were stabbed when a fight broke out overnight at a movie theater in Westchester, according to police.
Just past midnight on Saturday, members of the Yonkers Police Department responded to the Cross County Multiplex Cinemas at 2 South Drive on a report of a fight and possible assault.
The fight had broken up when police arrived on the scene and officers located one victim, a 40-year-old security guard employee of the theater, with a non-life-threatening stab wound to his leg, Yonkers Police said.
Empress EMS responded and transported the victim to a local area hospital. Officers cordoned off the area and a criminal investigation was initiated.
An apparent second victim of the fight was located at a local area hospital, also with a non-life-threatening stab wound to his leg. He is a 17-year-old resident of Yonkers.
Detectives from the Major Case Squad and Crime Scene Unit also responded to the scene and are actively interviewing subjects and witnesses, reviewing surveillance video, and processing forensic evidence. No arrests have been made as of Saturday morning.
